Our Story

The house was built in 1978 and was remodeled in 2017. It is a three story log cabin that sleeps 20 comfortably. Three full baths, two living areas, a kitchen, and a 1400 sq ft front deck. The main floor houses the kitchen, laundry room, living room, master bedroom and master bathroom. The basement houses a kitchenette, living area, bathroom, and four queen bunk-beds. Each bunk-bed also has a twin trundle. The loft houses a bathroom, two bedrooms, a library and loft daybed. In total there are 4 queen beds and two twins in the loft. The main floor kitchen and master bedroom both lead to the back patio.

The property sits on 100 acres of forest land, 10 miles from the town of Dayton,10 miles to Bluewood Ski Resort, and just 2 miles from The Barn at Blue Meadows wedding venue! The location is perfect for a weekend of skiing, hiking, wine tasting, or hosting retreats such as yoga, quilting, and scrap-booking... just to name a few. Stonewood is a great place for families to "unplug" from the wireless world and reunite with each other.
For retreats, the house has a 650 sq ft area for yoga practice and is equipped with 20, four foot adjustable tables and 16 swivel task chairs for quilting, scrap-booking or staff gatherings. |
